This started out as a WDYWT and I thought yeah fine I will show you what I wore since I write about my clothing a lot, but afterwards let’s talk. Basically I tossed and turned on writing and posting this one for over a week now. New year, it is a load of utter cr*p. The whole I am going to be healthy, work out more, be a better person?
No, I am sorry, you probably aren’t.
We all end up the same lazy, unhealthy A-holes we were in 2017. Most fitting thing I seen recently is a meme; jokingly pointing out that as an individual you aren’t leaving 2017 problems in 2017, you are probably taking 2010 problems into 2018.
My student debt, still there. My gym membership, still not renewed. Drink less? I haven’t said no to the pub yet this year. Don’t get me wrong I am going to pay that off and work out more. Not because it’s a new year, because I want to make a change and get somewhere in life. So PLEASE let us get rid of this ridiculous notion that we are going to be better people cause it’s changed day. Make the change for yourself, not for 2018. All setting up these ridiculous notions does us later when we take a slight fall is send us spiralling down and leaving us feeling angry and upset. Do something positive for your mental health, be yourself and make the change for you.
I swear I won’t get heavy on you for a while, but mental health is something we should all be talking about, so this can be my 2 cents and positivity.
Anyway this will make you laugh, I went out in a leopard print blazer… Bold even for me.
So hey, I thought that I would see the new year in with some wow factor. Whether that be ‘wow that is loud’, ‘wow that is awful’, ‘wow that’s brave’ or just out right ‘did he dress in the dark?’
Snazzy is the name of the game, I know I look like something out of a safari trip! Seriously though New Year in the bars it was full of wild animals. LITERALLY, was like mating season guys on heat for a midnight kiss. If all else fails them at least they could get a 6 inch sub around the corner.
I loved this get up. So the blazer was a go from the start, slim fit and thin making it perfect for layering. The shirt had to be black, the smart hidden buttons made it simple but effective if you ask me. Check out the image below of the skulls for collar buttons, the devil is in the detail. Never neglect the little finishing touches. Black leather jacket and black skinny jeans to finish the outfit a staple of mine, the black allows for the leopard print to really wow. To finish this get up Green Rousden Creepers, it had to be alt pair of footwear to finish this gothic yet on trend outfit. with the only colour being in the jacket this left some freedom on colour for footwear, and the yellow on the jacket really complimented the green on the shoes.
