So, let us talk about these resolutions.

This started out as a WDYWT and I thought yeah fine I will show you what I wore since I write about my clothing a lot, but afterwards let’s talk. Basically I tossed and turned on writing and posting this one for over a week now. New year, it is a load of utter cr*p. The whole I am going to be healthy, work out more, be a better person?

No, I am sorry, you probably aren’t.

We all end up the same lazy, unhealthy A-holes we were in 2017. Most fitting thing I seen recently is a meme; jokingly pointing out that as an individual you aren’t leaving 2017 problems in 2017, you are probably taking 2010 problems into 2018.

My student debt, still there. My gym membership, still not renewed. Drink less? I haven’t said no to the pub yet this year. Don’t get me wrong I am going to pay that off and work out more. Not because it’s a new year, because I want to make a change and get somewhere in life. So PLEASE let us get rid of this ridiculous notion that we are going to be better people cause it’s changed day. Make the change for yourself, not for 2018. All setting up these ridiculous notions does us later when we take a slight fall is send us spiralling down and leaving us feeling angry and upset. Do something positive for your mental health, be yourself and make the change for you.

I swear I won’t get heavy on you for a while, but mental health is something we should all be talking about, so this can be my 2 cents and positivity.

Anyway this will make you laugh, I went out in a leopard print blazer… Bold even for me.

So hey, I thought that I would see the new year in with some wow factor. Whether that be ‘wow that is loud’, ‘wow that is awful’, ‘wow that’s brave’ or just out right ‘did he dress in the dark?’

Snazzy is the name of the game, I know I look like something out of a safari trip! Seriously though New Year in the bars it was full of wild animals. LITERALLY, was like mating season guys on heat for a midnight kiss. If all else fails them at least they could get a 6 inch sub around the corner.

I loved this get up. So the blazer was a go from the start, slim fit and thin making it perfect for layering. The shirt had to be black, the smart hidden buttons made it simple but effective if you ask me. Check out the image below of the skulls for collar buttons, the devil is in the detailNever neglect the little finishing touches. Black leather jacket and black skinny jeans to finish the outfit a staple of mine, the black allows for the leopard print to really wow. To finish this get up Green Rousden Creepers, it had to be alt pair of footwear to finish this gothic yet on trend outfit. with the only colour being in the jacket this left some freedom on colour for footwear, and the yellow on the jacket really complimented the green on the shoes.

“have i gone mad?
i’m afraid so, but let me tell you something, the best people usually are.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland
This project was all about falling into what you see, looking through the looking glass and when you do, just loosing yourself for a moment or two before reality snaps back in.

Mexican Lucky, at these places I truly was.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Well, here it is again, the big guy has slid down the chimney and dropped off some gifts!

I am a massive fan of Christmas, what more could you want than spending time with loved ones getting merry? Even if you don’t follow the religious aspect, stepping back from the madness in this world and looking at the joy we have already in our lives is sometimes all we need to see through another day.

Spend your time with the ones who matter and forget those who don’t.

Mam and dad, thank you for the years of support on everything I’ve tried (some failed) and reading every new article.

Thank you Grandma, for my first camera and pushing me to be my best.

Thank you Beth, for being you and all the love and support. You are a keeper.

Anywhoo, back to the usual programming, pass me the mulled wine, ‘Say, what does Miley Cyrus have at Christmas?’ ‘No not Liam Hemsworth, she has TWERKY!’ Yeah I will keep the cracker jokes on the DL.

Look at the festive set ups!

Grandparents, they keep anything you make and have baubles about 100 year old! (No joke some are my great grandmothers!)

The other half has a lovely set up. But for more on this, go look at her blog. She is a talented interior designer with an eye and flair for it. Check out Bottom Draw Decor here!

Well, who doesn’t love the tree in their childhood home the most? Mam you move everything I’ve ever put on this, But each year you make sure everyone has a ball and the tree looks top.

Santa on the top will forever fall off, but tradition is tradition right!?

Merry Christmas!
