Newcastle, gets a Vans Store.

Wait, What? About f*ck!ng time! So Newcastle Upon Tyne, my hometown, the place of Geordie Shore, many a basic b*!ch and me (some people would probably say I am a basic, bit extra… but at least my Vans collection isn’t just black and white Old Skools, cause I’m so edgy…).

So I know this is late, but hey, at least I have gotten around to this. It has been a busy AF few weeks with work, freelance, being ill and attempting to get out and be social (I was white girl wasted last week)

Pizza, Beer, Vans. The way to my heart is this trilogy of godlike creations. Shout out to the DJ’s spinning some nostalgia from my teen years with some of still favourite bands, you played some tunes.

definite highlight had to be the fact they had beer pong, I feel like I own a table at a party but that is probably the dutch courage and the fact I am a loud, in the centre of the room kinda A-hole. This being said land a ball, get a discount. Shocking performance by me (drunk Lee is pro at beer pong), luckily the better half has a better aim sober.

Vans tailored the party perfectly for Newcastle, it was a party welcome to the biggest, best and most vital brand in skate to ‘the toon’.

Another highlight (clearly I am going to have many in this store) was the random drunk, who didn’t want pizza, or any apparel. Just the beer, poor woman serving politely telling him no to the request of “can I just have a can to take?” He was not happy and left disappointed in the fact he had to purchase his booze.

Well discount card in hand, I notice the Chima Pro 2, the grey colour-way that has been tempting me for a while…

One guess. Yep. I walked out with a pair in hand.

I have said this before, the British love something free, we will wait in a line to get anything free especially a sample of food… Beer and Pizza. Yes. F!ck me we are ridiculous, but screw that, make a cup of tea and we will politely ignore the fact we are a weird country of people. I lived up to my stereotype. Thank you vans for the free Newcastle tote filled with some Vans goodies!

Car parks, Trousers & Triangles

Car Park, trousers and triangles what an interesting threesome. (If you read that in a dirty way, get your mind out the gutter. Does that mean mine is in the gutter cause I covered that angle just incase?)

Does anyone else seem to think I take a lot of photographs in car parks? I think I have a problem. I need to find somewhere urban and not a car park.

This was clearly taken before the beast from the east 2.0 came along as I could get away with just a jacket. Absolutely BALTIC outside at the moment. The sea is actually terrifyingly rough. Less BBC Weather, more fashion rambles.

Trousers and trainers are inThis look was a big thing in 2016, it appears to be still alive and kicking, seeing a lot of Hypebeasts/Hypebeas in either trousers or joggers. Not much of a jogger wearer myself so I have fell on the side of trousers. Picked up some from a vintage shop (will drop you some info on this gem soon). Went for a grey check this way I can partner it with either black or white. Or both as I didTo finish this up, I popped some classic Bordeaux kicks on and rolled up the legs and I was set to roam about Birmingham shopping for the day.

Hat: Supreme, FW15, Suede 15 Camp, Black.

Trousers: Vintage shop pick up.

Guess who is back in Town.

Supreme, is back. Pockets about to be emptied, kids racing to their parents begging for money to burn on the next high-priced Hypebeast tee. Gone are the days you can casually pick up some Supreme. The OG days are dead. Yet here I am still into all the hype repping the same brands, loving the scene but hitting the garish side of what they have to offer (you don’t see so many of the kids in the weird sh*t).

So after hitting on the sign up on the Tuesday (not a Monday, just to confuse. Then to make it worse Suptalk on Facebook started some trolling tricks on the unsuspecting) here is me hitting up last Thursdays drop in person. Massive line, and so slow to get in, anything above place 150 was NOT getting in the store, we were told to come back Friday, luckily my number was low enough and I squeezed my ass in. I decided to save on the online pick up this week despite wanting another tee I left it wasn’t easily and took self-control believe me. Pink Palace Triferg had to be mine. My only Palace requirement this season.

So now that Week One has been and gone both in-store and online here is my review and my pick ups. Week One of Supreme Spring/Summer 2018 shows that the season is back in full swing. Hype AF.

Here are my pick ups for week 1, for me it was about decks and tees, disappointed that the Vibrations Corduroy Jacket didn’t drop, rumours were about for this but the blue colour way will be mine this season.

Skulls, Decks, Flowery headwear and Illegal Business.

So if you have been read any of my blogs you will know that I am all about headwear. The Floral Washed Chino Twill Camp Cap was a must, its smart with a touch of personality, adding this with a dark outfit with little detail would be my advice, this way you can really show off the pattern, I am going to be pairing this with a Carhartt Work Jacket with Gold detailing as the colours will compliment the hat perfectly.

Well decks came in hard and strong (Chicken dinner… not so much, this will be one the ugliest decks supreme will ever do). Skull Pile shouted out to me from my Emo days, anything that is slightest punk will always be added to my collection (ANOTHER BAND COLLAB PLEASE!) and this had to be. Its garish design and glow in the dark skulls will look amazing in a modern aesthetic room. We also seen the return of Illegal Business Controls America, in the form of a deck, this one is for you collectors. It is a piece of art and going to be highly collectible. I might buy the other colour ways but since two was the store limit and only one IBCA it had to black.

‘Re-light my fire.’ While I garden in the dark…

ZIPPO, just had to cop this. In the style and colour way of the Louis Vuitton collab this was always going to be a hot piece. Always up on my list and amazingly my first lighter from Supreme and I can tell you it won’t be my last. For the bargain price of £10 I can now do my gardening like a Hypebeast. One of the weirder accessories but I had to add this into the collection for no real reason. Another real bizare one the Luminaid, I don’t camp, I won’t ever need this but my god I felt the need to have one of these. Weird and amazing accessories to kick off the season. F*!k$ng top work ‘Preme.

Fuck the World.

Fuck The World in red, offensive subtle and a classic wear. Jellyfish Tee was the best graphic of the week and for summer vibes I went with a clean white. Both of these will be paired with either blue or black denim and some Vans as part of my regular rotations. Necklace Tee, I had to have as a Saliva fan from my OG Punk Rock days. I seen and fell in love with this Peach colour way and thought black jeans and under a black jacket this will look fresh so this was a 100% pick up for me. Also how perfect is this colour for a Spring/Summer range? Just to keep to the classic colours I did pick up the Cards Tee in Black (not pictured) purely for the back print of the dates for the season.

SO, it was time for all to flex it out and crack out the finest garms. The culture lives around a Thursday so it is vital that you wear something you love or something to impress and make another Hypebeast look and go DAMN.

We had TNF’s, box logos, we seen Nike, Off-White, ACW, Carhartt and of course a lot of various Supreme pieces.

Catch you on the flip till the next drop guys. Keep an eye out for some What did You Wear Today posts, apologise for the neglecting these it has been a busy few weeks, I will be catching you all up soon in a lifestyle blog!
